H2H color challenge

Edited below. :)

This is my first entry into a Heart 2 Heart challenge! This is a challenge blog that uses Close to My Heart products, which I love! I have a link to their site to the right.
The challenge this week is to use three colors, Gypsy, Creme Brulee, and Black.
I used white and black cardstock with all CTMH stamps and inks. The button and thread are from my stash.
I used the Rustic Flowers D1186 stamp set to create the background, flowers, and sentiment inside the card. I used the Just Because C1255 stamp set for the sentiment on the front.

Inside of the card:

I was so disappointed when I saw there was some ink on my block! Oh well, this is my first try at a challenge, so I will do better next time!
Edited to add:
Thank you for the wonderful comments and tips! I used Karen's tip and stamped some smaller flowers on my oopsie. It looks so much better now! Thanks, Karen!

  1. Wonderful card! Love the flower. Lisa Stenz has a wonderful video showing how to use a block as a background stamp. You may be able to cover up your oopsie this way :) Thanks for sharing at Heart 2 Heart!

  2. Hi Mavis - your card is wonderful! Try taking the small flower in that stamp set, ink it up in gypsy, and you should be able to hide that oops with a couple of little flowers stamped over it! Glad you could join us at H2H this week :o)

  3. Great card! The extra ink is hardly noticeable. It looks like it is supposed to be there. Love it! Thanks so much for sharing it with us at H2H! Hope to see more of your great artwork in future challenges! *Ü*

  4. Welcome to the H2H challenge! Great card Mavis! You should see all the "oopsies" underneath layers on my cards...there are no mistakes, just opportunities to embellish! Hope to see you coming back for more H2H challenges!
