Hulk Party!

Saturday was the smashing Hulk birthday party! My oldest was soooo excited for his birthday. I started putting up decorations on Friday and he could hardly wait for all his friends to come and see all the Hulk stuff.

This is our entry way with the Happy Birthday banner that I made.

Here is an up close of the Hulk and "H". I cut ALL of the Hulk and Abomination characters by hand! I also used some glitter on the the letters to make them sparkle and 3D adhesive to make them stand out.

My husband made the cupcakes. They were delicious! J chose chocolate for Hulk and vanilla for Abomination. J got a chocolate cupcake with both colors of icing. :)

I made the cupcake stands!

Here is an up-close picture of the cupcake toppers. You can also read my post here

Due to my LOVE of Pinterest, I found this game idea. Hulk Smash! Unfortunately, I forgot to get a picture of it before the kids smashed it! I used the tutorial here I changed it a bit by using all green tissue paper and I made 24 circles instead of 18. The kids LOVED it! I had them all take turns smashing a circle and they each got a prize inside. We had them smash on the wrestling mat just in case anyone had a good punch. :)

I also made 20 Hulk masks. J loved it, but the other kids weren't so keen on wearing them. :) I found it here from the Disney website.

Of course we had goodies for the kids to take home! I used a basket I already had and covered it with green and purple scraps from my other decorations.

My baby is 3!

M is 3 years old today! I can't believe my boys are growing up. Don't get me wrong, I'm super happy they are getting more independent everyday, but I do love that M still wants to snuggle with me all the time. All too soon, he will be over snuggling with mommy. :)

Today we went to the park with friends for M's birthday. He LOVES to swing. He would swing the entire time if I let him. He can't pump himself yet though, so swinging does nothing to get all of his excess energy out! We had a great time at the park with friends. I was worried about getting rained out (I know, a crazy worry for this summer!), but the rain held off and it made it not super hot, which was nice. The boys actually wore jeans!

M requested a Cars party this year. I love making party decorations, so of couse I made them all. I did a simple banner that says "M is 3" (edited for privacy).

I also made this centerpiece using a tin can and scrapbook paper. I used shredded paper to fill the can and taped the cars and sign onto kabob sticks.

I also made cupcake toppers this year, which was my favorite part! They were super simple, but really made the theme complete.

I'm considering starting a home business making party decorations for kids' birthdays. If you are interested, please message me!

Winter Social

I am super behind on blog posts! The last couple weeks, I have been helping to plan the annual Winter Social for my mom's group. We held it last Saturday and it was a blast! We had wonderful food, karaoke, prizes, and a basket raffle. We had over 50 mamas attend and everyone had a great time.

I made this banner for the occasion. It's chipboard letters with scrapbook paper over them and a few sparkles. Lime green is our signature color, so I had to use that for the banner! I used little pieces of styrofoam to make the letters more 3D.

I also made 60 of these little paper boxes. I used the awesome cricut cartridge from Close to My Heart to cut them out. Each box is stamped with a different CTMH stamp with CTMH Pear ink, so no two boxes are alike! Then I assembled the boxes and the group stuffed them with goodies like chocolates, lip gloss, name tag, etc.

Here's a few of the baskets we made up. We had 21 baskets in the raffle and several prizes mamas won. Karaoke was a huge hit and most mamas were up singing and dancing. Can't wait until next year!
